Thrive for good
Organizes training in sustainable gardening and have a garden in church.
Life Gardens is a program conducted in partnership with Arusha Vineyard Church, providing organic agricultural and nutrition training throughout Tanzania.
We empower communities with the knowledge and skills they need to grow nutritious, life-giving vegetables and medicinal plants all year round, with the advantage of requiring low rainfall and small plots, thus making it accessible to most of the population.
This program trains and equips communities suffering from malnutrition (or what we call ‘hidden hunger’) to establish organic gardens, dense with highly-nutritious crops and medicinal plants.
The focus of Life Gardens is on nutritional security - not just food security. When people are equipped to grow healthy, disease-fighting foods that, not only provide nourishment but income, poverty is being strategically and sustainably addressed.
This low-cost, organic solution to disease, is spreading exponentially throughout local communities around Tanzania, as well as in schools, prisons, churches and other institutions.
